ABOUT THE  SCHOOL

 

KTL Excel Higher Secondary School is a Private Unaided minority school established in the year 1998. This is one of the projects run and managed  under KTL Education Resource Centre (KERC), a Society registered under Societies Registration Acts bearing Regd. No. 21/UD/SR/2003 .  It  is a Co-Educational  Institution accommodating both boys and girls from LKG to Class XII. The school is recognized by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) No.55983/01  and the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur  (COHSEM) No.1/34/93-HSC ( Vol- VI).  The school has a strength of  more than 1500 students as per the last Academic session (2014) with 46 Teaching and Non Teaching Staff.

It is abbreviated as KTL, after  our  Grand Parents (Late) Mr KASHUNG THOYIBA & Mrs LEINGAILA (KTL).With the philosophy, “ Education is Freedom ”the school is designed to impart quality education with the latest  available technology and infrastructure for the Holistic & Harmonious growth of the students into a wholesome personality.

It is a mission based school designed to  impart and enable every students to know God and accept His Reality and Supremacy in this Universe. Special emphasize is given for their spiritual growth through Bible camp and other religious programs and activities. Basic fundamentals of moral values are imparted through the living Words.

LOCATION 

It is located in the hilly areas of Ukhrul District Headquarters, the land of Lily with bountiful flora and fauna. Ukhrul is about 85 Km from Imphal, the State capital of Manipur. The School is situated in the heart of Ukhrul town, the headquarters of the Tangkhul community, one of the major tribes of the Nagas. The calm and serene surrounding provides an ideal ambience of academic pursuit. It is situated on the eastern side of the town under Phungreitang East , Circular Road.
